India's smartphone exports increase by 40%

Mobile phone exports to hit Rs 1.8 lakh crore in FY 2024-25
As forecasted by the India Cellular and Electronics Association (ICEA), mobile phone exports may reach Rs 1.8-lakh crore in FY 2024-25. This would indicate a 40% increase from the same time last year. Since the launch of the production-linked incentive scheme in FY2020-2021, exports have grown exponentially.

Alco-bev majors to invest Rs 3,500 crore in breweries
In 2025, alco-bev majors plan to invest scores in setting up new breweries (reportedly Rs 3,500-crore). According to reports, this marks the companies’ highest capital expenditure in almost 15 years. United Breweries, Carlsberg, and Anheuser-Busch InBev — the companies making the said investment — control most of the Indian beer market.

India’s food processing sector to reach USD 700 billion
According to the PHD Chamber of Commerce and Industry (PHDCCI), India’s food processing sector will be valued at USD 700-billion by 2030. PHDCCI makes this forecast based on the increased demand for processed products. It also predicts growth in the agriculture sector, with a rise in exports.
