TCPL ramps up capacity for mono cartons and flexible packaging

Promoted by the Kanoria family, the company has multiple manufacturing units situated at Haridwar, Silvassa, Goa, Guwahati, and Greater Noida. TCPL has set up a subsidiary company in UAE called TCPL Middle East FZE, as well as a marketing office in Dubai.

TCPL’s growth segment during 2023 has come from a range of packaging applications. Besides flexible packaging, it is in mono cartons, fluted cartons, shelf-ready or display packaging, blister cards, paper cups, among others. It acquired a majority stake in Creative Offset Printers (COPPL) for the manufacturing of rigid boxes and leaflets.

In 2022-23, TCPL commercialised its new MDO PE film line and capacity expansion in the flexible packaging business with focus on sustainable packaging solutions. It also stabilised its plant in Noida geared towards electronics and high-value rigid box packaging and commenced its paper cup joint venture, TCPL Halma and its expansion.

TCPL Packaging has installed the best equipment in order to supply cork tipping paper, laminates, sleeves and wrap-around labels at its packaging plant in Silvassa where the company has added capacity in blown film manufacturing for the manufacture of oriented PE film to aid brands in their sustainable packaging requirements.

Plus extrusion lamination, printing, slitting and pouching equipment. In 2023-24 TCPL continued to add capacity in offset printing equipment for mono cartons and in the flexible packaging plant.

Besides, it has invested in sustainability including rooftop solar at all facilities, wastewater treatment facility, effluent and solid waste treatment. TCPL Packaging’s revenue jumped 7.48% from the same period last year to Rs 371.88-cr in the Q1 2023-2024. And the revenue jumped 7.17% from the same period last year to Rs 408.74-cr in the Q2 2023-2024.
