Seco Tools is transitioning to sustainable packaging with 98-100% recycled materials as part of its commitment to cut carbon dioxide emissions by an estimated 131 tons annually.

The new packaging will be made from either recycled Polypropylene or Polyethylene. Seco, in its statement, assured that the transition to recycled grey plastic packaging will not compromise product quality. The durable and reliable packaging will continue to protect tools effectively while helping Seco reduce its environmental footprint.

Maria Blomqvist, vice president of sustainability and EHS at Seco, said, “By transitioning to recycled plastic packaging, we are taking another critical step toward reducing our environmental footprint while maintaining the high quality our customers expect.”

The switch to eco-friendly packaging is in line with Seco’s broader sustainability strategy, which includes ambitious goals to achieve operational net-zero greenhouse gas emissions by 2035 and to reach 90% circularity by 2030.
