The previous edition of ProPak India was held in Bengaluru, its first in South India, along with Fi India & Hi. The show saw 250 leading exhibitors, 1,000+ brands, 35+ speakers and 7,000+ visitors from across the industry.
According to Yogesh Mudras, managing director at Informa Markets in India, the Indian food industry is currently growing at a CAGR of 11%, with a projected output of USD 535-billion by 2025. “This high-growth and high-profit sector has emerged due to its immense potential for value addition, particularly within the food processing industry. Consumers' awareness of ingredients, changing food habits, consumption patterns, low production costs, and ever-changing diet fads, food preferences and hygiene aspects of food packaging has significantly contributed to the boom in food and health ingredients, processing, and packaging industries.”
The ProPak India show in August 2023 will provide an opportunity for the food, dairy, bakery, cosmetics, pharmaceutical, household goods processing, eCommerce, industrial goods and packaging industries to discuss a unique set of challenges such as consumer preferences, improved information around health and nutrition, convenience foods and food safety, quality compliances, traceability and batch scheduling among others. All these are also driving the changes in packaging, and its demand.
The exhibition section of ProPak India will showcase processing machinery, packaging equipment, packaging material and labelling. There will also be process control, measurement and testing instruments, automation machinery, recycling and environmental technologies, material handling technologies and solutions on display.
On the sidelines, ProPak India will also host conferences, seminars and technical workshops on topics specific to food processing and packaging.
