Xeikon has developed food-safe, paper-based candy packs that are fully recyclable in the paper waste stream. Xeikon’s Titon TX500 has been designed and manufactured considering paper-based pouches applications. The toner which is used in TX500 is food-safe.

Amitabh Luthra of Printers’ Supply, Xeikon’s Indian representative said, “Paper pouches are easy to print but extremely difficult to convert into pouches with digital technologies. The chances of colour getting faded from the zip-lock area or sealing area are high but with Xeikon TX500 there is zero possibility of substrate distortion or colour fading.”

Luthra added that Xeikon is the only manufacturer offering both dry toner and UV inkjet technologies in the labelling and packaging segment. It manufactures digital inkjet presses and therefore all the presses can support 24/7 operations.

Today Xeikon presses can address a range of applications such as labels, cartons, heat transfers, water slides, books, wall decor, POS, and posters among others. The range comes in web widths of 20, 13 and 10-inches.

“The target audience for Xeikon is the labelling and packaging industry. We focus on people with two or more flexo or digital presses, where high speed and high-quality digital printing can add value” Luthra added.

The Xeikon Titon TX500 offers food safety, low energy consumption, sustainability-friendly technology, 1200 dpi superior print quality, fast RIP & powerful DFE – X-800, and modular architecture, which means you can add many types of finishing or embellishment equipment inline, all of which can be handled by one DFE.

The Titon TX500 offers a toner which has a high melting point of 28 degrees centigrade. No primer coating is needed for any of Xeikon’s presses and the company has introduced LED UV technology in its UV inkjet range of presses which is extremely low on power consumption.

Xeikon also follows European regulatory and compliance requirements for all of its products.
