Print Business Outlook Conference 2024 to take place at the Fairfield by Marriott Mumbai on 5 February, 2024. The conference’s theme, ‘Start Small, Think Big, and Deliver Bigger,’ serves as a transformative guide for professionals in the printing and packaging industry.

The conference has been co-organised by the Association for Print Technologies (APTech) and The Bombay Master Printers’ Association (BMPA). 

Some of the key discussions will revolve around Digital vs Print: The future of Indian comics powered by innovation; the rise of good plastic; packaging with crop waste; search of sustainability; Design, print, POP displays; The future of cross-cultural collaboration in print and packaging business; Moulded pulp fibres for disposable food packaging; Data storytelling for print; The role of artificial intelligence in design evolution.

Talking about Digital vs. Print in the first session, Preeti Vyas, president and CEO, Amar Chitra Katha will highlight the future of Indian comics powered by innovation. Followed by a note on the rise of good plastic by Neha Jain, CEO, Zerocircle. 

The editor of PrintWeek and WhatPackaging? magazines, Ramu Ramanathan will moderate a panel discussion on the future of cross-cultural collaboration in print and packaging business. The panel will consist of Akshay Kanoria, executive director, TCPL Packaging; Shashi Ranjan, CEO – Commercial Print & PMS Business, Manipal Technologies; Sanjay Patel, managing director, Param Packaging; Manu Choudhury, director, CDC Printers. 
Manish Gupta, general manager, IP and PP Marketing, Konica Minolta will brief the conference on the digital evolution of finishing and embellishment. Packaging with crop waste is something that caught our attention, Shubham Singh, CEO of Craste will enlighten the audience.

The second panel discussion will revolve around moulded pulp fibres for disposable food packaging. The panel will consist of Kirtiraj Kundlik Gaikwad, assistant professor- department of paper technology, IIT Roorkee; Babu Rao Guduri, joint director, Indian Institute Of Packaging; Mohit Kumar, chief visionary officer and co-founder, Ecosure Pulp moulding Technologies. 

Rabia Gupta, founder and principal designer, RGD and Amit Shah, managing director, Spectrum Scan will talk about Design x Print x Packaging X POP displays. Rasagy Sharma, Information Designer, Data Artist, Design Educator, Sketchnoter will conduct a show and tell session about data storytelling for print.

The day will conclude with a session on the role of artificial intelligence in print design evolution by Shiva Viswanathan, Founder, Catenate.Io.
