Organised by the All India Plastics Manufacturers Association (AIPMA), the 12th edition of the international plastics exhibition Plastivision will be held from 7 to 11 December 2023, at the Bombay Exhibition Centre.
Plastivision 2023 boasts a 1,25,000 sqm area, which will run an array of live running machines and stalls. The current edition eyes to surpass the previous one, with a footfall of over 2,25,000 visitors including above 1,500 exhibitors from across 30 countries.
The previous edition in 2020 was a 1,10,000 sqm area and gathered around 1483 exhibitors, 2,25,000 business visitors, and over 25 participating countries. In its report, Plastivision observed that one-half of the attendees were business owners. The other half comprised managing directors, production managers, department heads, consultants, government bodies and such.
Since its inception in 1992, the show has focused on fostering greater engagement in the wide plastics industry. There will be dedicated pavilions for diversified segments, given the plethora of plastic applications. This comprises Indiamold, finished goods, medical plastics, infrastructure, automation and robotics, recycling, agriculture, and solar energy.
Plastivision had garnered support from government bodies, education institutes and plastics machinery associations. These involve BIS, Plexconcil, IPI, PIAI, and IIP among others. The show will benefit and house them - raw materials, primary processing machinery, mould and dies, associations and institutions, new technology, semi-furnished and finished products, and auxiliary types of equipment.
Mumbai-headquartered AIPMA organises national and international programs and trade shows to promote the growth of the plastic industry. Established in 1945, the body comprises over 22,000 members through 27 affiliated associations from India.
