Plastindia witnesses footfall of over three lakh visitors
The 1,800 exhibitors identify new business avenues and expansion potentials during the Plastindia Exhibition 2023, held from 1 to 5 February, at Pragati Maidan, New Delhi. The WhatPackaging? team reviews the five-day show

The 11th edition of Plastindia 2023, now the world’s largest exhibition in the plastic space, has been a success. The five-day show witnessed a high footfall of 3,60,000 visitors. Being one of the most comprehensive exhibitions for the plastics industry; around 1,800 exhibitors showcased their latest world-standard processing machinery, raw materials, recycling technology, and latest automation technologies.
The exhibitors reached out to potential customers and identified newer avenues for growing their business. Several high-value transactions were made over the five days.
A CEO Conclave presided over by minister of Chemical and Fertilisers, and Health and Family Welfare; Mansukh Mandaviya was organised at the venue of the exhibition. Over 90 industry leaders and CEOs attended the Conclave and deliberated on how the Indian plastics industry can reach its full potential.
It was agreed that the industry and the policymakers will walk hand-in-hand so that the policies can be encouraging to the industry. Arun Baroka, joint secretary, department of chemicals, ministry of Chemicals and Fertilisers, Government of India, also graced the CEO Conclave.
During the exhibition, RBSM meetings were organised in association with Plexconcil; attended by over 300 plus buyers from various countries to source their requirements from India. The RBSM successfully brought potential overseas buyers of plastic products, machinery and mould to India.
