Pamex 2024 seeks growth of label converters
With the agenda to bolster label companies as comprehensive packaging solutions providers, Pamex 2024 will witness a live array of label presses and allied solutions at the Bombay Exhibition Centre which will transpire from 6 to 9 February.

A Future Market Insights report reveals the global labels market size has totalled a valuation of USD 41.75-billion in 2023 and is poised to notch USD 67.36-billion over the next decade at a CAGR of 4.9%.
In India, the label printing landscape has changed considerably given the shift in consumer preferences for packaged food across organised retail outlets, supermarkets and convenience stores. Also, the Food Safety and Standards Authority of India (FSSAI) has been batting on the surge of packaged food for consumers to make healthier choices.
This growth anticipates the Indian labels market which is expected to boost at an 8.9% CAGR over the forecast period. Also, the emergence of numerous quick-service restaurants and food delivery services provides impetus in this regard.
Interestingly enough, the agenda of the LMAI Conference 2023 held in Jaipur was to seek sustainability. Rajesh Nema, president of LMAI, said, “Labels have the power to embrace creativity, which further spurs innovation.”
Kodak will promote eco-friendly offset prepress solutions and inkjet solutions at Psmex. UV graphic technologies will display flexo printing, UV coating and curing machines. The company will also offer digital label converting and finishing machines. Edale will be offering its versatile fully servo-driven label press.
Heidelberg India to showcase Heidelberg and Gallus solutions including Prinect, service and consumables. President, Samir Patkar said, “We are participating in Pamex after a long time and have high expectations in terms of the quality of visitors.”
“Labels and packaging continue to grow year-on-year and have attracted printers looking to diversify their portfolio and insulate their businesses from technology risks,” said Ranesh Bajaj, director, Vinsak India. The company will feature Rotatek, Iwasaki and Lombardi label printing presses.
Webtech International Machineries will unveil its latest Labeltech X2 series flexographic press. “The X2 series combines precision, speed, and versatility to meet the dynamic demands of label printing. It offers efficient job changeovers with its robust construction, exemplifying durability and reliability,” said Shiv Nandan Singh, COO and executive director of the company.
Jatinder Jhulka, founder, Alliance Printech revealed the company’s plan to introduce the Novasmart, multi-substrate flexo label press and Acer, label inspection slitter rewinder to up the game of the label segment.
Monotech Systems will highlight its renowned Jetsci global digital label printing solutions. With this, it extends its commitment to the label printing industry in terms of developing label presses in India.
Nitin Garg, managing director, NBG Printographic Machinery said, “We will display our comprehensive portfolio of label solutions encompassing printing, finishing, inspection and converting.”
Flexo Image Graphics (FIG), which had a catalogue presentation last time, has taken a larger space to promote its flexo press and several other machines. Apex International will offer anilox-metering rolls and sleeves under the label segment of the show.
Esko Graphics India will offer software solutions for the label converting industry in terms of streamlining processes, optimising resource allocation, and leveraging automation tools, thus helping them to handle larger workloads without sacrificing quality or turnaround times.
RK Label Printing Machinery will present flexo label printing machinery, S Kumar Multi Products will feature label converting and printing machinery. SR Graphics will display all new and developed label printing machines, AB PrintPack will offer holographic printing solutions and lab coater for hotmelt adhesive coating and Aum Label and Machinery will display flexo printing solutions at the show.
VDR International will offer a label treatment machine. “This plasma treatment machine is used for a better print quality, bonding and coating,” shared VK Gautam, business head of the company.
“We are designing a separate invite which will have detailed information on the plans of exhibitors from the label segment. This will attract more quality visitors who will get an idea of the extensive range of technologies they will get to see at the show,” said Anil Arora, president of Print-Packaging.com and the organiser of Pamex.
