PackMach 2023: Smipack showcases overlap shrink wrapper

Smipack, with Robopac has partnered with Durapak for the Indian market, highlights an automatic overlap shrink wrapper machine of the XP series, and Robopac’s Master portable semi-automatic stretch wrapper at PackMach Asia Expo, at Delhi’s Pragati Maidan.

Established in 1997, Smipack is the company of the SMI Group. It specialises in manufacturing and marketing of L-Seal hood packers; semi-automatic and automatic L-Sealers; intermittent and box motion continuous automatic side sealers; shrink tunnels and conveyors; automatic flow pack machines and more. The Group caters to food and non-food sectors, with international clientele including Coca-Cola, PepsiCo, Nestle, Ferrero, Ikea, Bimbo, Kimberly Clark and Univeler.

Smipack presented its XP650 ALX shrink wrapper. Launched in 2019, the machine runs at a top speed of 25 packs per minute. Also, it is compatible with both plain and printed shrink film processing.

Hitendra Barai, owner and managing director, Durapak says, “Given the advantages of XP, more than 20 machines are installed at the drink-giant Bisleri.”

Chennai-headquartered Durapak also showcased Robopac’s Master, self-propelled wrapping machine that grants total pallet control and imparts stability to the pallet. With installations worldwide over 25,000, Master is an agile and compact packaging tool. It is equipped with technical solutions such as start-cycle siren, blinker visible during product wrapping, immediate stop button and emergency bumpers that ensure high safety levels.

At the PackMach show, the Group believes the forum provides an opportunity to meet new prospective customers during the course of the show.
