PackMach 2023: Nordson exhibits its ProBlue Flex melter adhesive technology

Nordson’s ProBlue Flex melter is an adhesive dispensing technology, configured for a variety of applications. It is equipped with cloud-based technology, BBconn control system. This allows for remote operation, real-time oversight, improve the productivity and reduce operational costs.
Saurabh Gupta said, “The new ProBlue Flex melter has a good heat management system in-built. Some of the key features have been enhanced in this model.” “It caters to all packaging applications where glue consumption and production quality is of importance to the manufacturer,” Gupta added.
The company has an adhesive tracking system (ATS), which is a flow measuring device that comes integrated with ProBlue Flex melter, but can also be retrofitted on any of Nordson’s older Melter models. The ATS uses a flow-meter to directly measure adhesive output and alerts the system when the amount of dispensed adhesive is out of a predetermined band.
Talking about the show, Gupta said that the response has been quite good. “We got to interact with our existing OEMs and also enquiries from potential OEMs. PackMach is the platform which provides opportunities to OEMs, new players in the machine manufacturers segment, and a wide spectrum to discuss.”
He concluded, “Nordson emphasises on developing new technologies to enhance productivity and reduce the operational costs, which benefit the customers. This will improve the competitiveness in the companies. Our customers mainly include key players in the FMCG and pharmaceutical industries.”
