Headquartered in Barcelona, Spain, Mespack is an international manufacturer of flexible packaging, end-of-line and water soluble pods equipment for consumer packaged goods company. The company’s stall showcased its case packing system at the exhibition.

The system caters to around 100-120 packs per minute (PPM). It is compatible with various pack firms such as pouches and cartons, and is suitable to high-speed applications. Ryan D’souza said, “It is completely easy to operate; a plug and play system, and requires no human intervention.”

The system is programmed according to the different requirements. The processes are also segregated on the basis of different SKUs. The case packing system was officially launched during Interpack 2023, held in Dusseldorf.

D’souza explained that post-Covid, human intervention with the machines was reduced, and there was a dire need for automation. “Hence, this is a fully automated system which saves ROI, manpower, and no loss of production,” he added.

D’souza said that Mespack will be expanding its portfolio in the coming future, as it is a part of the Duravant umbrella. Duravant is a group of 18 companies consisting of packaging machinery, food processing and material handling sectors.

When asked about the manufacturing plants, D’souza said, “Mespack has the manufacturing plants, an innovation and R&D centres in Spain. A spare manufacturing unit is set up in Vadodara.”
