Headquartered in Mumbai, Flexitest is a leading supplier of scientific and laboratory testing instruments in India.

Varun Fotedar, CEO, Flexitest, says, “ThicknessPen offers a dual mode operation that is both capacitance, and magnetic measurement technologies. This capability of the new product provides versatility and portability to be used in the laboratory, on the floor, and in a wet environment site also.”

The new tool is rugged, safe and easy-to-operate. The pen can withstand the rigors of industrial environment; is resilient to drop, rough handling and presence of moisture. Its salient feature is precision monitoring, with either magnetic or capacitance mode.

The former utilises a single, high precision magnetic target ball. Typical applications include lightweight plastics, glass and aluminium containers; and ideal for in-plant measurement station. The other capacitance mode allows touch and measure operation without a target ball. This device is ideal for on-field, where portability is desired.

Some of its key private sector clients include Tata Consumer Products, TCPL, Huhtamaki, Amcor, EPL, ITC. From the public and institutional sector, its clients are Indian Institute of Packaging (IIP), CFTRI, Institute of Chemical Technology Mumbai, and more.
