Globally, the packaging industry sector has positioned itself as one of the fastest-growing industries across all countries. The industry is worth over USD 917 billion (in 2019), growing at a CAGR of 2.8% to reach USD 1.05 trillion by 2024. According to the Packaging Industry Association of India (PIAI), the sector is growing at 22% to 25% per annum.

It is the growth in the packaging sector that the two-packaging summit attempts to address and provide insights into life cycle challenges, and share perspectives, new development, ongoing trends and about the road ahead.

As per the press note, “This summit will offer an opportunity to discuss, share experiences, listen to live case studies, network and exchange dialogue with industry leaders. It will also help us learn about the current and innovative practices to improve and achieve the packaging goals.”

The event will witness people from the industry such as functional heads of packaging development, design, quality control and supply chain. The speakers will touch upon key aspects like; anti-counterfeiting in packaging, packaging amendments for FMCG and F&B and sustainability. 

Participants will also explore practices, strategies, technologies, new developments, processes, and innovations in packaging in the post-pandemic era to meet ever-increasing quality standards and demand.

Packaging is becoming a key priority across the value chain with optimised and automated packing activities. The EPR norms that came in 2022 will push the growth of packaging, demanding new packaging materials, technologies to evolve, and new business models.
