More than 2,000 delegates present on day one of flexible packaging summit

The who's who of the flexible packaging industry was present for the opening of the 10th Speciality Films & Flexible Packaging Global Summit 2023 on 31 August at the Reliance Jio World Convention Centre in Mumbai, India. In addition to A-listers, the gathering saw traders, converters, and end-users ready to engage in India's vibrant packaging landscape.

The summit commenced with the inaugural session, which witnessed five keynote speeches

The two day conference hosted by ElitePlus Business Services saw Prabh Das, managing director and CEO of HPCL-Mittal Energy; Ashok Chaturvedi, founder, chairman and managing director of UFlex Group; Prabha Narasimhan, MD and CEO of Colgate-Palmolive; Harsh Mariwala, founder and chairman of Marico as well as Nilesh Shah, group president and MD of Kotak Mahindra Asset Management presenting the keynote address during the morning session.

The proceedings began with Nidhi Verma, founder and managing director of ElitePlus highlighting how India's flexible packaging market is poised to grow by USD 18.65 billion by 2027. And how the conference presents an opportune moment for producers, traders, converters, and end-users to engage in India's vibrant packaging landscape.

The deliberations over two days will focus on sustainable and responsible growth of the industry. In addition, there are panel discussions about sustainability with dignitaries from CPBC, MOEF, and Central Pollution Control Board of India (CPCB), GOI; as well as top brands.

The two-day event is divided into ten business sessions, with critical insights from raw material manufacturers, machinery manufacturers, manufacturers of auxiliary machineries, and all leading converters - mono and multilayer films, biaxial films, and brand owners who put the package goods in the hands of consumers.

This edition will offer five keynote speeches in the inaugural session, ten insightful business sessions, and over 45 presentations by speakers from India and overseas. Interactive Q&A sessions will foster engaging discussions, while three-panel discussions will address pressing topics such as recycling.
