Brand expectations and market dynamics continue to influence the shift of print packaging to flexography as the process of choice. Miraclon will be present in Hall 15 at Drupa, and will explore case studies showcasing the success of modern flexo for packaging printers and their brand clients.
In partnership with Windmöller & Hölscher, Apex International and Tesa, Miraclon organised a pre-Drupa summit in Ahmedabad on 3 May. Printer and trade shops were filled in about how flexo serves as an optimised and profitable technology.
At the show, Hersh Lulla of Miraclon spoke about how converters can achieve cost-effective flexible packaging, with the right mix of technologies. This further aids with "visual parity on the shelf" and partners with brands toward achieving sustainability targets.
On a similar note, CEO Chris Payne told Printweek: modern flexo offers visual parity with gravure, offset and digital print processes, offering maximum flexibility for printers and the brands that they serve.
Payne added, “Economic issues, particularly inflation, have made us very pragmatic. Our innovation strategy is about helping our customers to drive efficiencies by being more efficient in the pressroom and driving sustainability.”
Also, Lulla highlighted the crucial role of colour consistency and repeatability to enable ECG printing. He underlined Miraclon’s goal for 2025: to avail sustainable print practices with modern flexo.
