KJSPITI-IPMMI launch 11-month course in operating packaging machinery
Industrial Training Institute graduates in electrician, electronics mechanic, or in instrumentation, diploma holders, and 12th-grade science students are eligible to apply for the course.

On 3 March, K. J. Somaiya Private Industrial Training Institute (KJSPITI) in partnership with the Institute of Packaging Machinery Manufacturers of India (IPMMI) launched an 11-month course in the Operation and Maintenance of Packaging Machinery.
The course offers six months of training at the institute and five months of paid on-the-job training at one of IPMMI’s associate companies. The curriculum will include key industry topics such as programmable logic controllers, supervisory control, human-machine interface, automation, and pneumatics. Industrial Training Institute graduates in electrician, electronics mechanic, or in instrumentation, diploma holders, and 12th-grade science students are eligible to apply for the course.
According to the MoU, KJSPITI will provide the lab facilities and faculty support, while IPMMI will develop the course content, arrange on-the-job training with a stipend of ₹10,000 per month at one of IPMMI’s 280-plus associated member companies. It guarantees 100% placement assistance, with a minimum package of INR 3-lakh per annum.
The course is designed to provide the skills required to operate packaging machinery, and the admissions are set to open from May 2025. The vocational training aims to bridge the gap between technical education and industry requirements.
