ITC wins innovative award for its POP at the PrintWeek Awards 2023
ITC Packaging and Printing Business (Chennai), bagged an award for the category; Innovative Printer of the Year (paper / paperboard / corrugated), during the PrintWeek Awards 2023, held at The Westin Mumbai Powai Lake, on 30 October.

The microwaveable POP box for Zea Maize is an innovative package developed with unique compressed, microwaveable pop-up technology. The raw materials were aptly selected, and the structural design of the carton was curated and developed such that the carton box can be placed inside the OTG in a compressed form. On the application of heat, the carton automatically expands. The customer-friendly box has been launched in two flavours — simple salted and butter.
The package is given a corn look by means of the shades of brown, blue and yellow, depicting the flavour through conventional offset printing technology. Printed on 220-gsm Cyber XL Pac broad, the box has an elite aqueous varnish finish. Quality printing, high-end technology and precise folding, all these operations came together to create this experience of a product.
The entire box is given a matte finish giving the box a modish look. All these factors have evolved into a POP box impacting the minds of consumers. A total of two-lakh cartons were produced.
