IPMMI announces PackMach Asia Expo 2024

The Institute of Packaging Machinery Manufacturers of India (IPMMI) conducts six roadshows, which lay the foundation for the PackMach Asia Expo. The Association has announced the dates of roadshows plus exhibition and extends an invite to the packaging industry

IPMMI president, Anthony D'Souza shed light on the Indian packaging market. Currently evaluated at USD 76-billion in 2023, it is expected to notch USD 128-billion by 2028 at a CAGR of 11.06%.

D’souza said, “The surge in packaging is fueled by the expanding consumer markets in processed food, personal care and pharmaceuticals. Recognised as one of India's fastest-growing sectors, packaging drives technological innovation across various domains, including agriculture and FMCG.”

Packaging machine manufacturers should be aware of consumer demands. In this direction, IPMMI will host panel discussions and knowledge sessions for the benefit of Indian packaging machinery manufacturing.

Held an average of six times annually, the IPMMI roadshows across India will serve as the foundation for the PackMach Asia Expo that will be held from 23 to 25 October 2024 at the Bombay Exhibition Centre, Mumbai.

The Association has charted out an annual map starting with the first roadshow to kick off on 24 May in Delhi. Followed by, the other shows to be held at Ahmedabad, Bengaluru, Chennai and Pune on the dates 21 June, 19 July, 23 August and 4 September respectively. The final, sixth roadshow will conclude on 20 September in Mumbai.

Mahadevan Iyer, vice-president of IPMMI, said, "The idea is to create an innovative mindset before the expo to foster meaningful conversations and connections." This is the motto of IPMMI and fosters education, training, and fraternising.

The board is open to both members and non-members for a threefold purpose: to enhance brand visibility, create valuable business opportunities and feature innovative products and solutions.
