Interpack 2023: Companies stay ahead of the tech game
Printing-major, Heidelberg announced the launch of wide web inline flexo printing press. Leading players in packaging and processing, Syntegon and Multivac successfully promoted their solutions at Interpack including launch of new series by the primer.

According to a report by Fortune Business Insights, The global print equipment market stood at USD 19.74-bn in 2017 and is projected to reach USD 20.04-bn by 2025, exhibiting a CAGR of 0.21%. This upscale will be caused by also the promotion of innovations and solutions at exhibitions and trade shows of such sort and magnitude.
Heidelberg
Leading player in providing print-packaging solutions, Heidelberg unveiled its new Boardmaster at the fair. In Smithers’ report The Future of Package Printing 2027, the flexo industry has a positive growth of 2.4% CAGR through to 2027. The machine can run up to a speed of 600-m/min and will reduce industrial packaging costs. This adds to its advantages in terms of speed and efficiency, scaling the rise of the industry.
Syntegon
Goa-based Syntegon launches brand-new SVX vertical form-filling system (VFFS) series variants. The SVX Agile machine covers all basic tubular bag styles and can be upgraded with modules for corner sealed bags, three-sided seal bags, and zip bags. And, the SVX Duplex featured two film lanes on the same 1,220-mm wide frame, leading to higher output rates for basic bag styles such as a pillow, gusseted and block bottom bags.
Multivac
Under the motto - multiply your value, Multivac Group presented its portfolio for the food industry, medical goods and pharmaceutical industries at the trade fair on a total of four exhibition areas.
Windmöller & Hölscher
Upon signing a deal, Sunil Agarwal, MD of Pratap Group said, “We are proud to invest in W&H's Convertex CL-170, a cutting-edge technology and look forward with optimism to making a significant impact with this breakthrough.” The machine runs at a speed of up to 170 bags per minute.
The Ulhasnagar-based company Pratap Group also ordered AD Convertex CL 140, the predecessor of CL 170 and Ecotex extrusion coating line with BOPP lamination capability from W&H.
PackSys
At interpack, the company exhibited its extensive range of packaging solutions. It eyes for sustainability and recently, an ampoule dispenser, one of its creations’, was awarded the Pharmapack Award 2023, in the packaging innovation category.
Of the exhibitors, companies such as V-Shapes, Koch Pac-System, Uhlmann India, Mespack India and Emerge-Glass with an Indian presence were also present at the show.
