One of the standout products on display was the PrintCheck system, developed under Valco Melton's ClearVision brand. This inspection solution thoroughly examines the complete printing on corrugated boxes, ensuring brand owners receive shipments free of defects. N Ravi Kiran, director for Valco Melton India, UAE, Malaysia, Indonesia and Singapore, said, "The PrintCheck system utilises high-resolution cameras to capture real-time images of the boxes, which are then compared to a master reference. Any discrepancies or errors are immediately identified, and the system can automatically eject the affected boxes from the production line."
In addition to Print Check, Valco Melton showcased its comprehensive suite of inspection technologies, including the BundleCheck and GapCheck systems. These solutions address critical aspects of the corrugated manufacturing process, such as checking the presence of blue spots, monitoring the folding of boxes, and verifying the gaps between flaps. Ravi Kiran said, "By integrating these camera-based inspection systems directly into the production line, Valco Melton empowers its customers to maintain the highest quality standards and eliminate the risk of sending out subpar products."
Ravi Kiran highlighted the company's commitment to providing remote support and technical assistance to its global customer base. "Leveraging the power of AI and deep learning, Valco Melton's engineers in Bangalore can access the installed inspection systems and troubleshoot issues, offering timely and efficient solutions to customers worldwide."
Ravi Kiran says over 200 automated corrugation production lines operate in India. "This impressive figure underscores the growing demand for advanced technology solutions in the country's thriving corrugated industry."
