Rajkumar Lodha, managing director of Seven 11 Industries, at the IndiaCorr Expo.

Rajkumar Lodha, managing director of Seven 11 Industries, outlined the company’s growth and recent developments. He said, "We have opened blending centres in Hyderabad, Pune, and Delhi, with plans to expand further. These centres receive semi-readymade raw materials and provide matching solutions to clients," Lodha explained.

As the printing industry evolves, digital printing is gaining traction. However, according to Lodha, water-based inks remain a practical choice for large-scale printing operations, particularly for businesses using flexo machines. He noted that while digital printing works well for smaller orders, water-based solutions are more efficient for bulk printing.

The company is also adopting semi-automatic processes to reduce its reliance on manual labour. Lodha mentioned that intermediate products now move through pipelines in their manufacturing units, cutting down the need for manual handling. "Automation is becoming increasingly important in the Indian market. We are currently focusing on semi-automatic processes, but may move towards full automation in the future," Lodha said.

He also attributed some of the industry's growth to initiatives like the Make in India campaign, which has encouraged domestic production. Additionally, an increase in foreign investment and a growing population are key factors contributing to the industry’s expansion.
