Impel Group, the owner of Bindwel Bookbinding, SigLoch Digital Post Print, Stelda Case Packaging, and Wimco Tube Filling businesses, has taken a crucial step to enhance customer service by inaugurating its first integrated service and spare parts centre in Mumbai. This new facility is equipped to cater to the group’s customer base, which exceeds 4,000 across India, ensuring faster and more reliable service delivery.
The centre features a robust spare parts storage system that will maintain a ready stock of essential components for all Impel Group brands. This marks a significant upgrade in the group’s after-sales infrastructure, enhancing its ability to meet customer needs promptly.
In addition to the Mumbai centre, Impel Group has announced plans to upgrade its Noida facility. The Noida spare parts centre will be expanded to include parts for newer businesses, including the recently acquired Wimco tube filling business, which currently supports over 500 customers.
Impel’s spare parts network is strategically backed by its manufacturing hub in Bengaluru, which serves as the mother storage location. Regional centres in Chennai and Kolkata provide additional support, enabling the group to meet its Service Level Agreement (SLA) of delivering any spare part anywhere in India within 48 hours.
A company press note said, "The group has implemented a comprehensive ERP system that links all its warehouses, providing real-time visibility into spare parts availability across locations. This enables service engineers to identify and source parts quickly, ensuring minimal downtime for customers.
According to Gopakumar Kandoth, Head of After-Sales Support at Impel Group, “The integration of the Wimco business into our service framework is progressing rapidly. We are confident that the SLA of 48-hour spare parts delivery will soon be extended to Wimco’s customer base as well.”
This initiative underscores Impel Group’s dedication to supporting its customers with world-class service. By leveraging its extensive network and advanced technology, the group continues to solidify its position as a leader in the bookbinding, digital post-print, packaging, and tube-filling industries.
The launch of the Mumbai centre and the planned upgrades in Noida highlight Impel’s proactive approach to customer-centricity, ensuring its clients benefit from reliable, efficient, and timely support.
