Packaging major EPL (formerly Essel Propack) has been bringing innovative products to the market for the last four decades, with the help of strong innovation programmes.

The company has entered PrintWeek Awards 2023 with 12 different entries spread across 14 categories.

On day two of jury day, Yatin Patil of Bizongo shared with the jury members, “EPL has launched 100% recyclable lamitubes. For example, the Colgate tube packs. They have reduced the number of layers to the pack which makes it easier to recycle. Plus the kind of ink used is not very difficult to be de-inked. A mechanical recycling process suffices.”

“Plus they have also used a lot of PCR material. 30-70% PCR material mixed with virgin plastic is a common practice these days. EPL has successfully created 100% PCR lamitubes,“ he added.

As Anand Kripalu, the global CEO and MD at EPL, said “Our focus on product, people and process sustainability is what will make us ‘lead the pack‘ in the times to come. In FY 23, we more than doubled sustainable tube volumes; we aim to again double in FY 24.”
