CEOs confabulate about plastic at conclave

A high-powered CEO conclave, presided over by the Minister of Chemicals and Fertilisers, and Minister of Health and Family Welfare, Mansukh Bhai Mandaviya, deliberated about the future of the Indian plastics industry.

Plastindia, under the chairmanship of Jigish Doshi, president, Plastindia Foundation, is providing an opportunity to the leading voices of the industry from across the world to discuss, debate and evolve the way forward to drive growth of polymers and plastics.

A CEO Conclave presided over by the minister of Chemicals and Fertilisers, and Health and Family Welfare, Mansukh Mandaviya, took place on 3 February at Pragati Maidan. The industry leaders discussed how the Indian plastic industry can reach its full potential and garner more participation from across the world to emerge as the global, servicing, manufacturing and technology innovation hub. 

The CEO Conclave was attended by over 90 industry leaders and leading voices from the industry like - MP Taparia, MD, Supreme Industries; RK Lohia, chairman, Lohia Group; Helmet Huber, COO, Bruckner Group; Avinash Verma, CEO, polymers, Reliance Industries; and Anil Jain, CEO, Jain Irrigation. 

The policymakers of India; including minister, Mandaviya, and Arun Baroka, joint-secretary, department of chemicals, Ministry of Chemicals and Fertilisers, Government of India, brought down to the views of the industry leaders so that the nation’s policies can be aligned to foster the industry’s growth.

The Plastindia CEO Conclave was curated by Nidhi Verma, NEC chairman, CEO Conclave. The main focus of Plastindia 2023 is to innovate, sustain and grow and facilitate modern techniques that will help to maintain the development of the plastics industry in India and to work towards developing India as a preferred sourcing hub for plastics globally.
