The national finale, held at Dr Ram Manohar Lohia Avadh University, coincided with the International Conference on Sustainable Printing and Packaging. The competition brought together print students from across India, with a panel of judges from Sri Lanka, Indonesia, and India evaluating the finalists. 

Reflecting on her achievement, Yadav said, "It’s a proud moment for me to be recognised as the Top Print Student of India. When Kamal Chopra sir announced my name as the winner, my eyes filled with happy tears. It feels amazing when you strive for something and ultimately achieve it."

The Print Olympiad is organised annually by the Offset Printers Association (OPA), Ludhiana, in collaboration with universities and printing institutions. The event, which started in 2014, is held to recognise emerging talent in printing technology from four regions: North, South, East, and West.

Dr TKS Lakshmi Priya, the chief coordinator of Print Olympiad 2024, highlighted the rigorous selection process. “Preliminary online tests were conducted in each region, followed by regional finales. This year’s North Zone finale was hosted by Kurukshetra University, while the South Zone finale was at Anna University. Pune Vidhyarthi Griha's College of Engineering and Technology (PVG COET), Pune, hosted the West Zone finale, and the East Zone finale was held at Regional Institute of Printing Technology (RIPT), Kolkata.”

When asked about her interest in printing technology, Yadav said, "I developed an interest in graphic design during my senior secondary classes, which sparked my curiosity about printing. That curiosity led me to pursue a degree in printing technology at GJUS&T."

Looking ahead, Yadav plans to focus on sustainable printing. "I aim to pursue a career in research and development, contributing to innovative solutions that promote eco-friendly and efficient printing technologies."
