Many distinguished speakers and guests are expected at the 13th International Conference 2024, organised by the All India Printing Inks Manufacturers Association (AIPIMA). This conference will precede the three-day show at the Bombay Exhibition Centre.
Speakers include SN Venkataraman (ITC PPD), Manas Kumar Sarkar (UFlex), David Robbins (DIC India), and Interjit Singh (Toyo India), among others. PrintWeek and WhatPackaging? are media partners at this event.
Shekhar Iyer, chairman of the Asia Coat + Ink Show 2024 exhibition organising committee said, “Given India’s growing print and packaging market, this event is crucial for staying updated.”
The theme of the show is Inkredible Innovations Await. Iyer said, “Visitors can expect to see cutting-edge technologies, sustainable solutions, and digital advancements. Also, eco-friendly printing inks and coatings will indeed be highlighted.”
The growing demand for next-generation printing inks for packaging has highly influenced the growth of the next-generation printing ink market. Initiatives for the development of environmental concerns, associated with a strong push from governments to adopt sustainable ink products are also positively impacting the growth of the market.
Towards the evening, Ramu Ramanathan, editor of PrintWeek and WhatPackaging? magazines will moderate a panel discussion on sustainable and innovative solutions for printing inks and packaging.
The panellists will include Andrew Huang, deputy manager of special materials at Eternal Materials; Manish Bhatia, managing director of DIC India; Manas Kumar Sarkar, business HR head and sustainability officer at UFlex; and Christian Biecker, global key account manager within the printing inks and inkjet market at BYK.
Dr Raghav Rao, president of AIPMA said, “The Asia Coat + Ink Show will showcase cutting-edge technologies, and it is a must-attend.”
Rao added, “India's promising print and packaging market renders this event indispensable for industry stakeholders to stay abreast of the latest developments.” He alluded to the theme, “Incredible Innovations Await” which he said “Underscores our commitment to innovation and sustainability.”
The printing ink market is expected to grow at a compound annual growth rate (CAGR) of 8-9% from 2022 to 2029. The global printing ink and coatings market is segmented based on product type, technology, and application along with end-use industries and regions.
Considering the circular economy as one of the major bases for the next generation, AIPIMA has chosen “Sustainable and Innovative Solutions for Printing Inks and Packaging” as its theme. There will be an open-house discussion on sustainability at the conference and eminent national and international leaders from industry and academia will participate and share their views.
