16th Paperex conference on 6-9 December

Organised by Hyve India, Paperex 2023 will kick off on 6 December 2023 at Hall 7 of the India Expo Centre, Greater Noida. The three-day show is one of the largest conferences and exhibitions on pulp, paper and allied industries.

The previous edition of Paperex witnessed a footfall of 26,128 visitors and 460 leading exhibitors including international visitors from over 20 countries. 68% of exhibitors agreed that the exhibition delivered a better return on investment (ROI) for them.

The 2023 edition has the theme: ‘Paper Industry: Growth and Sustainability through Green Technologies’. Industry stalwarts, scientists, R&D experts, CEOs, directors and tech geeks from paper and allied industries will gather at the India Expo Centre, Greater Noida.

The Inpaper International, a journal on the world pulp and paper industry, has constituted various in association with IARPMA, awards and recognition of speakers, who will deliver presentations at the Paperex'2023 technical conference. The winners will be selected by the prominent juries from the three days of technical presentations, which will be held from 6 to 8 December. The winners will receive their awards during the valedictory function of Paperex'2023 from the chief guest of the event. This is an opportunity for the technology suppliers and technocrats to publicise their technologies and ideas among this large pulp, paper, and allied industry.

On day one, the highlight is the panel discussion on the future of the paper industry over the next decade. The panel will comprise - AS Mehta of JK Paper, Pavan Khaitan of Kuantum Papers, Rahul Khanna of Khanna Paper Mills, Santosh Wakhloo of TNPL, Anil Kumar of IARPMA, and David Powlson of AFRY Management Consulting UK.

The sessions will be chaired by the experts of the Indian paper industry - RHK Sinha of Bindlas Papers Mills, Atul Kaul of Arab Paper Manufacturing, Dr MK Gupta of CPPRI, N Gopalaratnam of Seshayee Paper and Boards, Chandrashekhar Kashikar of Orient Paper & Industries, SVR Krishnan of Khanna Paper Mill, Ganesh Bhadti of Seshayee Paper, Ashok Kumar of Pudumjee Paper Products, and Rajendra Jain of WESCO.

Special sessions to discuss the growth, and opportunities in the Indian pulp and paper industry. The show will host several speaker presentations including that of Rakesh Jain, who received the ‘Best Paper Award’ for UNIDO’s approach to enhanced productivity in Indian paper mills, at the IPPTA zonal seminar in Muzzafarnagar. Mohan Patil and Karishma Bist of the Federation of Indian Chamber of Commerce and Industry (FICCI) will speak too.

Days two and three will essentially cover the technology development for sustainable production. Also, the Paperex secretariat has arranged poster sessions on emerging technologies and start-up ideas in paper and allied industries. 

As per the press note issued by the organisers, “The conference-cum-exhibition will present sustainable and eco-friendly packaging solutions. It will bolster the Indian paper packaging industry to reach the goal of 38 million metric tonnes (MMT) by 2035.”

Hyve India will organise the concurrent events. This includes the World of Paper 2023; Tissueex 2023; and Corrugex 2023. It will bring together, under one roof, the entire paper fraternity including paper printing, paper publishing, and paper packaging industries.
