InkSpec MIIS-V3 viscometer focuses on precision, reliability, and sustainability

Equipped with a patented acoustic suspension and compliant mechanism design, the MIIS-V3 viscometer boasts fewer internal parts, ensuring reliability and resilience against external vibrations and turbulent pump pulsations.

Sunil Talpade, managing director of Royal Coat says, “Launched recently in February, the MIIS-V3 has a single vibrating rod measuring element, coupled with a built-in DSP (Digital Sound Processor), that enables precise readings even for micro-foamed inks, a feat unmatched by conventional viscometers.”

By automatically controlling ink viscosity, the MIIS-V3 ensures consistent product quality from roll-to-roll, minimising colour variations and maximising ink mileage. With precise solvent control and uniform addition throughout printing jobs, wastage is reduced, promoting environmental sustainability and cost-effectiveness.

The MIIS-V3 has a modular design and an intuitive software interface. InkSpec's industrial PLC control platform guarantees superior reliability, while quick-connect cabling simplifies installation. So there are plenty of applications comprising flexo, gravure, coating/laminating, beverage/food can coating.

“InkSpec's commitment to customer satisfaction extends beyond product deployment, offering remote connectivity for support, direct access to technical experts in Montreal and Green Bay, USA, and local representation in India through Royal Coat,” says Talpade.

On the safety and compliance front, the viscometer boasts intrinsically safe Atex zone 0 compliance for hazardous areas. With certifications including UL, ATEX, and IECEx, InkSpec prioritises the safety of its users and the integrity of its products.
