Addon Filmtech displayed its range of WF-grade PET shrinks films at Labelexpo India. The event also marked the debut of the CSP WF grade which is fully compatible with the PET recycling process and the RSF WF grade which contains 30% PCR material.

As the demand for recyclable products in the packaging industry continues, Addon Filmtech received keen responses from brands in its CSP and RSF versions of WF-grade PET shrink film and these grades promote recyclability and help brands meet their regulatory requirements.

The PET shrink films are used in the labelling industry where full body coverage and 360-degree design is used to meet the brand's labelling needs for product packaging. The WF-grade PET shrink film is compatible with all sorts of inks and machines including flexo, roto, UV and digital whilst the container can be used for any material such as PE, PET, glass and metal among others.

The product has over 70% cross-direction shrinkage with controlled machine direction shrinkage of less than 5%.

The CSP - WF Grade PET shrink film is a crystalliser-friendly recyclable grade which when printed with washable inks, allows the label to be fully recycled along with all types of Post Consumer PET waste yielding mono material recyclate.

The WF Grade PET shrink film has a variant which contains a minimum of 30% Post-Consumer Recycled (PCR) content which provides brand owners with a long-term value for their consumer products and helps them align to their sustainability goals.

“It has already become an ideal choice for all sleeving requirements due to its superior performance and versatility. Many brands have chosen to start their transition from such materials to WF grade over the last year and a half,” said Patel, director of Addon Filmtech.
