Ray’s Cacao Melts offers a unique packaging structure that enhances the chocolate eating experience. However, while minimal and functional, the design doesn’t fully reflect the product’s premium quality, appearing semi-premium instead of luxurious.

Exploring more innovative shapes and refining the design could elevate the packaging to match the product’s high quality.

By adopting a more sophisticated aesthetic, Ray can better align with consumer expectations and provide a truly premium experience.

The product is packaged in a plastic sachet, designed for single-use portions. The front of the sachet features a sleek, minimalist design with the brand name Ray and the product name Cacao Melts. It highlights key attributes such as no sugar chocolate, vegan, diabetic friendly, and plant-friendly, catering to specific dietary preferences and health-conscious consumers. The sachet includes an "easy snap sachet" feature, allowing it to be opened effortlessly without the need for scissors or other tools.

The back of the sachet offers comprehensive information, including ingredients, nutritional facts, allergen information, storage instructions, and manufacturer details. A ‘peel here’ label enhances user convenience for accessing the contents. The compact size of the sachet is ideal for single servings, minimising waste and ensuring portion control.

Exploring options for recyclable or compostable materials could enhance the packaging's sustainability profile, especially as there is no recycled logo present on the packaging.
