When did you first hear about flexo?
In the year of 1998.
What's the difference between flexo then and flexo now?
The difference is large, especially since the last five years and it's going up.
One tech-insight about ink transfer or process control that you think everyone should know.
Choosing and maintaining correct anilox rollers.
Which methods do you use to validate your flexo data?
Through fingerprinting.
One measurement equipment which is a must on the shopfloor?
X-Rite Spectrophotometer and Good 100X Magnifying Glass.
Where should one focus most on: densities, dot gains, plates, or anilox performance?
Anilox performance.
The client is always right. What is that one tip you have picked-up from your client?
Never ask a client to invest on equipment and manpower. Show them the best possible results with the existing setup.
The need of the hour is skilled pre-press talent. How much does a flexo expert make?
Makes a world of difference.
150 LPI is enough? Or should one aim for higher?
This depends on the job type. 150 LPI is enough for the majority of jobs. However, the jobs which require special features such as security printing, need to be higher than 150 LPI.
