A leading supplier of papers, Creative Cart Papers helps to choose the right paper required for specific application. The New Delhi-based group deals with imported special papers for packaging, graphics and art; natural and coated papers for converting or catalogues.

Priyanka Singh of Creative Cart Papers is bullish about the Stucco Old Mill Premium White from the Fedrigoni stable. She said, "It is a wood-free paper and board, made with elemental chlorine free (ECF) pulp, FSC certified, with a genuine feltmark on both sides."

Established in 1888, the Italian paper manufacturer Fedrigoni Group focuses on two divisions - paper and self-adhesives. The Group aims to become a reference partner to brands, printers, converters and designers. It employs more than 5,000 people in 28 countries, has 68 production plants and slitting and distribution centres, and distributes 25,000 products in 132 countries.

Signh told WhatPackaging? magazine that "Fedrigoni’s Stucco treatment delivers the sharp, bright printed result of a coated paper, while retaining the uncoated appeal. The product is completely biodegradable and recyclable."

Old Mill Premium White can be deployed for printing via letterpress, offset, blind embossing, hot foil stamping, thermography and screen printing. Its macro-porous surface suggests the use of oxidative drying inks, and the characteristic felt marking requires specific printing pressure settings.

It allows for good results in varnishing and plastic laminating. The surface roughness typical of marked papers may give rise to micro defects with plastic laminating caused by incomplete adhesion of the film to the substrate. However, the paper offers fine results with processing operations such as cutting, die-cutting, scoring, folding and glueing.

Singh added, "The coated paper has high demand for commercial printing including coffee table book, calendar, brochure and many more. Its cost varies from Rs 33 to Rs 88 per sheet, depending on the paper’s GSM and size."

Stucco Old Mill papers and boards are ideal for any kind of publishing, packaging and commercial printing. Although, they are best suited for deluxe publications, brochures and commercial printings given the merits of a marked paper with the printing performance of coated paper.

Some of Stucco Old Mill’s customers are Thomson, Solar Print Press, Lynx, Decorpac.
